As of March 27, 2023, the FDA has stopped accepting and processing submissions to the Voluntary Cosmetic Registration Program (VCRP).

Summary of the updates regarding product listing:

• The FDA will come up with a different system to register cosmetic products as well as facilities that can handle the large volume of submissions because of MoCRA.  
• The FDA would like the cosmetic companies to wait to register until they announce the availability of the new system.
• The information within the VCRP will not be transferred to the new system.
• The FDA will publish a webinar April 2023 regarding the provisions outlined in MoCRA.
• The Deadline for the registration and listing of cosmetic facilities and products is still December 29, 2023.
